Down bellow the streets of Paris a maze of intrincate tunels serve the city and house the dead.

Titulo : Paris te amo até a morte.

De baixo das ruas de Paris um labirinto de tuneis servem a cidade e servem de casa para os mortos.

That is absolutely adorable, the way they did not cover up and hide death but instead fashioned it into a symbol of loving grace.

In fact this place was created during the moving of one cemetary, they brought all the dead here and throwed all the bone in the back and placed the legs,arms and skulls in the front to make walls. There are several drawings like that in the tour. Wich I recomend, if you're in to seing dead people. :-)

Detail. is not permited to take flash fotography in there, and I was compling to that. The flash you see come from other camera that took the picture during my long exposition, due to the poor lightining. :-)

Paris is full of surprises. This tour through the catacombs is very good and not very known.

That's great! What exactly do flashes do to damage the bones, would you say? I know it isn't allowed in great museums as well.

I"ve been there.

When I was in Paris the catacombs were one of my "must see" places because I thought it was very untypical.

It was morbid, but memoral
